vista is frustrato
lucas: there are soo many stupid network settings and configurations buried in vista.
me: why would they do something so backwards and non-intuitive?
lucas: they bury them so it looks pretty, but at the same time, an EXPERIENCED user cannot get proper functionality.
lucas: i guess if network connections don't work, it is more secure though.

in international news, an unknown British man placed a $1 bet in an 8 race parlay with combined odds of 2 million to one(the stakes were 8-1, 5-2, 10-1, 15-2, 11-2 (twice), 4-1 and 7-2). You guessed it, the bastard won and is now sitting on a ticket worth $1.97 million. i love and hate this story - love because it gives hope to all us weekend gamblers who occasionally throw down $5...
